Who Needs a Seatbelt When Mom’s Arm Is There?

Just in case you weren’t exactly sure, yes, this mom and daughter duo are sitting high above the ground in a chairlift with nothing else by mom’s arm to keep her daughter from falling to her death. Never mind that chances are the mom will go down right after her, of course. Back in the day, mom’s arm was around for all seatbelt purposes like riding in the car, riding on the bus, basically anything that would cause a kid to fly out of their seat. These days, even though there’s an actual seatbelt required by law in all of these things, the mom arm is still a thing because that’s just basic mother’s instinct.
