This veterinarian mom had no qualms about bringing her young son with her to work. But then again, this photo was from 1959 before all the safety restrictions and parenting guides started making parents feel totally inadequate. While this mom is holding on to this lion cub like it was the sweetest thing, her son was probably thinking about how cool it was that his mom allowed him to play with wild animals because heck, so did she! Even crazier, this family kept this lion as their house pet for two years! Of course he eventually had to move out because, well, he’s a lion.
