Jane Sibbett’s acting career started on a TV soap Santa Barbara but is famously known for her role as Ross Geller’s lesbian ex-wife, Carol in the hit TV sitcom Friends. We enjoyed watching her discover her identity on the show and how she broke boundaries in the 90s. It’s not a secret that being gay wasn’t openly accepted back then but it was a great start for the show writers to get people to talk about it with Sibbett’s character. Sibbett hasn’t been taking on a lot of roles recently but is actively focusing on her philanthropy like support victims of domestic violence. She is also running the 1736 Family Crisis Center in Los Angeles.
