She comes from a racing family, with father John Force a 16-time NHRA Top Fuel Funny Car National champion. Her sister Courtney is also on this list, as good looks and skillful driving must be a family trait. Ashley was selected as the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series’ Rookie of the Year (Funny Car division) in 2007. Her first ever NHRA professional-category win came while defeating her father in the final round at the NHRA Summit Southern Nationals, becoming the first woman who earned a win in TF/FC. Her illustrious career continued, until she took a break from racing in 2011 as she was expecting her first child. After the baby was born, she announced her retirement from competitive racing.
