More often than not, people don’t really think twice about seeing almost completely naked women on the covers of magazines, while men are usually photographed for athletic ones. But one CNN journalist, Peggy Drexler, shared her thoughts about why SI can’t do the same by putting men on their swimsuit editions as well. She actually wrote, “Why has no one created a counterpart magazine featuring a scantily dressed man? Why are men so rarely offered up as objects to behold? Men aren’t the only one who like to “appreciate the beauty” of the opposite sex.” Of course Drexler could get one of those Firemen calendars and see that hey, some people actually do that already.
