Back in 2005, Sports Illustrated decided that they were going to create an entire issue that used body paint on their models to portray bikinis rather than actual swimsuits. While the entire idea was already thought of as risky by many, the reactions from SI enthusiasts was also very mixed. Some thought that it was precarious enough that they were being photographed in some of the skimpiest bikinis around, but to make them painted on was even more dicey. Yet no matter how perilous this seemed to most, the models were more than happy to get painted on and show off every single curve they had.
