In case you haven’t noticed the adorable penguins in the background, then you also probably didn’t notice that Kate Upton was wearing a barely there white bikini in the middle of Antarctica. Back in 2013, the swimsuit edition of the magazine decided to photograph their models in many different places all over the world, and for some reason they thought that having someone model in the hardly any clothing in snow was a good idea. Upton herself shared that ‘her body started to shut down from exposure to the elements,’ proving those critics that thought it was too extreme right. And if that wasn’t bad enough, readers even criticized her body saying that she was too curvy to be on the cover, to which she said, “My curves are natural. They’re not going away no matter how hard I work out.”
