Once again, Sports Illustrated broke through boundaries when they featured the gorgeous Muslim model Halima Aden in a hijab and burkini. While her shoot is a far cry from the usual bikini-clad half-naked women sitting in the water, Aden shows that it’s okay to be different explaining, “being different is beautiful, too.” According to Aden as well, “Growing up in the United States, I never really felt represented because I never could flip through a magazine and see a girl who was wearing a hijab. Don’t be afraid to be the first.”
