It is assumed the tourists to the UK will always visit London. It is an iconic city, and most visited by tourists. While London actually has more residents than Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland combined, it is not the only city worth visiting. The UK has a lot, like Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Cardiff, Edinburgh, and Liverpool, to name a few. But never compare the other cities to London. The locals don’t like being compared, and will be insulted. You don’t have to brag to other locals in other cities that you have been to London…they won’t care, really. They surely won’t be impressed, and instead think you are just an arrogant and ignorant tourist.
