Even if you weren’t a young girl in the mid to late 80s, the name Ricky Martin will still ring a bell. Once part of infamous singing group Menudo, Martin was every girls’ teenage dream. But what he never admitted at the time, and what no one knew, was that Martin was actually gay but didn’t know how to come out to the public. Even when Martin came out as a solo singer, he still hadn’t admitted to the fact that he was, in fact, a homosexual.
Where Is He Now?
The ‘King of Latin Pop’ was very popular among the ladies and the gay community, and his music and concerts were selling like crazy. He was also in a 14-year relationship with TV host Rebecca de Alba, but constantly questioned about his sexuality, more so after having twin boys via surrogate in 2008 as a single father. Plus the fact that he has such a large gay following was a big factor too. Eventually, Martin was able to be open about his sexual orientation and eventually married boyfriend Jwan Yosef in 2016 and had more children.
