Christian Slater was another 90s star that rose to fame around the same time as Ethan Hawke and Winona Ryder. Having starred alongside Ryder in ‘Heathers,’ Slater won overnight acclaim for his portrayal of a mysterious bad boy. Yet, even though the movie had tons of success, Slater found it difficult to be cast as a lead in any movie.
Where Is He Now?
As time passed, Slater would continue to get a ton of roles but always as a sidekick and never the star. Crazily, he even came out in 10 movies in a single year, and yet the roles kept coming, even though he was struggling with substance abuse all throughout. Most of his roles these past few years have been for TV series like ‘Milo Murphy’s Law,’ ‘Mr. Robot’ and ‘Dirty John,’ while spending his other time with his wife and kids.
