Even if you never watched the movie ‘The Sixth Sense,’ you’ve probably heard the very infamous line, “I see dead people.” The little boy in the film who uttered these words and ended up becoming instantly famous was a boy named Haley Joel Osment who happened to be just 11-years old at the time. In spite of the creepiness of the entire film, Osment himself was a charming and adorable young boy that totally stole the spotlight, which even garnered him an Oscar nomination for Supporting Actor, making him the second youngest actor to ever be nominated for an Academy Award.

Where Is He Now?

It would become clear to many that Osment had appeared in a number of commercials and starred in other roles including playing Tom Hank’s son in the unforgettable movie Forrest Gump. But even though he got quite a number of roles after his Sixth Sense hit, the young actor needed a break. Osment would find himself in the same situation as many other child actors and ended up in rehab for alcohol abuse. Since then, he’s learned his lesson, went back to school to “hone his craft” as he explained and has since continued with his acting career. He may no longer be as recognizable as he was when he was younger but the actor shares that he’s definitely wiser and smarter about his choices these days.
