The early days of broadcasting were nothing like the news reports of today, splashed all over twitter and Instagram. Before there was social media, people actually had to tune in to the radio or the news on TV to see what was really going on in the world. And the same went for music where radio disc jockeys would sit behind a booth and play music all day long whilst people listened to them talk and play music over the airwaves. Although there are still plenty radio and television broadcasters around, because of the way music is now streamed and news is immediately uploaded on different media platforms, it’s been said that there will be a rapid decline in this particular profession in the years to come.
