In case you were wondering, the main character of this show is played by former Everybody Loves Raymond star, Patricia Heaton. In Carol’s Second Act, she plays a teacher that has since retired and finally decides to go after her true dream of becoming a doctor, hence the name of the show. Sadly for Heaton, and the rest of the cast and crew of this show, the series never made it past the first season, leaving those that appreciated the show feeling lacking and sad that there wasn’t, well, a second act.
