She-Ra and the Princess of Power was one of the favorite cartoons back in the 80s, so it came as no surprise that producers thought a reboot would be well received by many. The story follows the life of Adora, a girl who was orphaned on the planet Etheria who gets her hands on a magical sword which turns her into She-Ra, using her powers to fight against Hordak, the evil ruler of the universe. The difference with the original is that it had a strong LGBT representation, yet despite the show’s great writing, it was canceled after season five.
