BoJack Horseman had a cult following for a number of reasons. Aside from the show featuring an anthropomorphic horse named BoJack Horseman in Hollywood who was a 90s sitcom star, it shares how he attempts to restart his career amidst issues with addiction and depression as well. While the series is obviously created for adults, and is hilarious for the most part, it touches serious topics with the perfect hint of comedy. Unfortunately it won’t be renewed after the sixth season, so if you decide to watch it, be ready for it to end regardless of how much you enjoy the show.
