Okay, this one isn’t exactly rocket science but then again, dogs yawn for reasons other than being tired. Yes, they yawn when they’re sleepy, but apparently dogs also yawn when they are feeling stressed. Why stress manifests itself as a yawn is not exactly clear, but if you’re dog keeps yawning but doesn’t go to sleep, then there is something stressing him out for sure. Take notice of when and where it happens so that you know if it’s a habit that occurs in the same place. That way, it can help you figure out what’s going on. Sometimes a simple cuddle can do the trick and get them to relax.
