As stated earlier, South Carolina is tied in rank with Maine on the list. This beautiful state is full of amazing countryside drives, Southern history, beaches, and tons of golf courses, it sounds like a retirees ultimate dream location. But sadly, this state isn’t known for taking care of its more senior residents since health care is lacking and living standards are expensive as well. Add to that the crazy weather, it’s not such a walk in the park as originally assumed. According to Reddit user @superflippy, “The heat is absolutely monstrous in the summer. Just make sure that wherever you live has good air conditioning.”
