Another state that happens to be ranked the same as another is Nevada, which tied with Alaska. Nevada is one of the craziest states, with the gambling, the nightlife, the strip and the tourists that come in and out of the city each and every year. But when it comes to living there, especially for retirees, it’s really not the most ideal state to settle in. Even if you enjoy the slots and all the buffets, their health care is lacking, as is their overall quality of life. Burt Andrews, a native to Nevada, explained, “Don’t go TOO far from the population centers if you need complex medical treatments. Most small towns here have basic medical services, but the complex stuff is concentrated in the two population centers [Las Vegas and Reno].”
