John Gilchrist, Jr. of Life Cereal, $10 Million

Many of you may not remember little Mickey, the impatient kid from the 1972 Life Cereal commercial. In it, he had siblings who tried to convince him to eat the cereal. Once he did, he seemed shocked at the fact that he actually liked it. Well, for those of you who don’t know, Mickey was portrayed by John Gilchrist. The brothers in the commercials are also his real brothers, Tommy and Michael. The ad became a hit and even came out in TV Guide after it was ranked as the “Greatest Commercial of All-Time” in 1999. Mickey became so popular that there was an urban legend about him. Many said that Gilchrist had died after mixing Pop Rocks and Coke. The truth is that he’s very much alive and well. He even answers some fan mail from time to time.
