The Geico caveman is undeniably the second most famous of all of the company’s characters. In fact, he quickly became a TV favorite after it was first aired in 2004. Basically, it’s about titular caveman, portrayed by actor and comedian John Lehr, who felt continuously insulted constantly feeling denigrated by Geico because of the slogan “so easy a caveman could do it!” The funny makeup took three hours to apply, and it worked because sales took off as well as Lehr’s career. In fact, ABC even started a show based on the concept. It was aptly entitled The Caveman.
