Candice Bergen is, without a doubt, one of the most successful actresses in Hollywood. But did you know that she used to model as well? She had already earned a good buck as she starred as the main character of the hit TV series back in the 80s entitled Murphy Brown. Before that, she became the spokesperson for the Sprint telephone commercials that people watched. She was called “the Dime lady” back then, but not because she sold dimes, but more because Sprint’s call rate was only 10 cents per minute. That’s how long ago it was. The additional publicity boosted Bergen’s career. While no one knows just how much she made back then, it doesn’t seem to be an issue.
