Before you start thinking that you will ever see a purple polar bear in the wild, this one only changed color because of medication. This zoo bear named Pelusa was being treated for a skin disease and needed to be medicated, which in turn, turned the whole thing purple. Despite the fact that it wasn’t actually an organic occurrence, nor did the zookeepers know she would turn purple from the treatment, thousands of people still showed up in droves at the Argentine Zoo in Buenos Aires to see her.
