Through the Peephole

Perhaps one of the scariest things greeted her as she looked through the peephole. An unknown male was at the door. He was wearing a hat, and Savanna wasn’t able to make out his features clearly. She couldn’t quite explain it, but she somehow knew that something wasn’t right about him. He didn’t look like a delivery man or a salesman, or even a friendly neighbor. He also certainly wasn’t an official or from law enforcement. What could he want? Savanna quietly backed away from the door, hoping that if she ignored him that he would go away.
