In a bold move of quick thinking, Marie had called a neighbor and told her daughter to stay where she was. It wasn’t long after that Savanna heard another man’s voice echoing through the house, and relief washed over the fourteen-year-old. She heard the intruder begin to scramble, and knew in her heart that he was spooked. She heard him sprint down the hall and push past the neighbor before disappearing into his car and driving off.
