In Switzerland, it is recommended for tourists to begin the day early and end it early as well.  The country’s history of being the home of Protestantism, it boasts of a Calvinist work ethic.  Calvinism is a major branch of Protestantism that follows the theological tradition and forms of Christian practice set down by John Calvin and other Reformation-era theologians. Thus, for foreign tourists, it means that cafes open at 6 AM, class will probably start at 8 AM, and good luck finding a grocery store that is open past 7 PM.  So, try to sleep early when in Switzerland.  Beginning the day early is the best way to enjoy this beautiful country.
