Don’t Book A Chain Hotel

If you don’t have friends or relatives to stay with in Chicago, try not to book chain hotels as they are simply more expensive. Maybe around 20 to 30 years ago, that was the only option, especially for transients who visit for days. But nowadays, aside from B & B’s, there are a slew of cool boutique hotels for a couple of nights stay. Plus the fact that they have fine restaurants and cozy bars, so you don’t have to venture out, especially during the winter. Some of the more well known boutique hotels are the new St. Jane Hotel along the Magnificent Mile, Kimpton Gray in the Loop, and Hotel EMC2 in River North. These places have received many positive revues, so you may want to check them out. Always plan ahead, and do your research. Booking in advance is recommended, especially during peak seasons. You don’t want to end up on the streets.
