One of the most visited attractions of Chicago is the Navy Pier. Most especially if you are visiting with kids. The 196 foot ferris wheel surely stands out as you approach the area, but there are other carnival rides. The Navy Pier offers plenty in the way for family-friendly entertainment. There is an 18-hole miniature golf course, a Children’s Museum with hands-on exhibits, an IMAX theater, and more. But it is not just for the kids…you can catch a show at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater, grab a drink at the Miller Lite Beer Garden, or shop around several boutique stores and stalls. Enjoy the lakefront view and cool breezes. Oh, there are also fireworks displays during summer, normally on Wednesday and Saturday evenings.
