Never Underestimate a Chicago Winter

You may have been warned about visiting Chicago during winter, and even if you are used to cold places, Chicago winter may be something you wouldn’t expect. It is best never to underestimate it. Always dress appropriately, it may not be really cold when you step out, but the wind chill may shock the socks out of you. Watch where you go, most sidewalks may be frozen and icy, and slipping can cause real damage. Don’t think alcohol will make you feel warmer. It will just distort your senses, and before you know it, your nose falls off. Also, never leave doors open when you enter an establishment, it will not be taken lightly.
