Do Not Underestimate Traffic Conditions On The 55 Freeway

State Route 55 is an 18-mile North to South state highway that passes through suburban Orange County. Traffic nightmares occur often during rush hour, normally from 2pm till 7pm. Places to avoid are where the 5 meets the 405 near the Irvine Spectrum, and near Angel Stadium where the 57, 22, and 5 all merge. But this should not deter you from visiting Orange County.
