Unfortunately with the increase of tourists in Prague, petty thievery and pickpocketing has also increased, especially in the highly populated areas. But no matter how much you might feel like you know how to keep your things safe, you still need to be on your guard. Never be an easy target, and never take your surroundings for granted. When possible, don’t bring too much cash on you when you go out and leave important documents in your hotel either in the safe, or locked up in your luggage. As the saying goes, it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
