Fashion and beauty crazes can suddenly change direction. Hairdos included. Women during the 1950s to the early 1960s preferred doing their hair in a beehive or bouffant. Others considered curls and waves. The hairspray was a must for these women. But then the trend changed. By the late 1960s to the early 1970s, long hair was preferred, mostly done straight, without waves or curls. This attracted men in such a way that even they themselves decided to sport long hair.
