Why men found women smokers more attractive is surprising. Maybe it was how they smoked (seductively?), or because the habit was considered to be glamorous and sophisticated. Even though there was the Surgeon General warning on cigarette packs by 1964, it was not given much attention. Cigarette companies even used ads showing women smoking as a sign of gender equality. It also conveyed the idea that smoking makes you look sexier and refined. Well, the ads have misled people for a long time, but those times are now gone. But maybe some men still find female smokers attractive. What do you think?
