Obviously the appreciation for smaller breasts as a fashion trend also correlated with flat butts. It would have looked funny for a thin, flat-chested girl to have a big butt. Besides, the fear of cellulite made women try to get more “streamlined” by reducing hips and butts. Well, men appreciated the streamline look, it was consistent with the trend then. There were machines and gadgets to help reduce the buttocks, and they were selling like pancakes. Even masseuses were focusing on buttocks massage to help make them less fatty. But, not everybody was successful in trimming down their behind. Those that were not successful tried to find other ways to hide their bulging buttocks. Those were the days.
