In case you weren’t exactly sure what to love about the 70s, then this photo of Catherine Bach as Daisy Duke just might be the perfect example. The crazy thing is though, she almost didn’t get the part because some thought she didn’t look like the ‘All-American Girl’ that they had first pictured in their minds. According to Bach, “It was a complete fluke that I was Daisy Duke! I’m half Mexican and half German, and my agency said, ‘You’re way too exotic and just not television material’ – and they fired me.” But then when the producers finally met her in person, they realized that she truly fit the part. If this photo is any indication of what she looked like during the meet-up, then it’s easy to see why they changed their minds.
