While most people remember Madonna from her much more rambunctious and wild days, that wasn’t always the case. Before she was putting out Billboard topping albums such as Like A Virgin and Like a Prayer, she was just a young girl from Michigan wishing to make it big one day. Although she originally wanted to be a dancer, she eventually dropped out of college and headed to New York with just a few bucks in her pocket to try her luck in the entertainment scene. Eventually she hit it big with her first self-entitled album, Madonna in 1983, which was around nine years after this photo was taken. Not bad for a young girl from the mitten state.
