Some time over a decade ago, Hurley needed to change her lifestyle and surroundings. Being a well known celebrity is not easy, especially if followed by the notorious paparazzi. “For the last couple of years I was finding it harder and harder to live in London,” she explained in a 2009 interview. “I had got to the point where it was making me ill, and I couldn’t control my rage at being followed by the paparazzi,” she added. So, she decided to move out of London and into a 400-acre farm in Gloucestershire, England, with her family. So what does one do in a farm? Well Hurley took to the rural farm life, and even raised livestock. Eventually she decided to earn from it and came up with a line of high-end snacks. Although she loved her relaxed lifestyle, she was still an actress first and foremost. She sold her property in 2014 for 6 million pounds. But moving back to the city didn’t mean she gave up supporting local businesses. Hurley said, “ I used to have a small organic farm, obviously that’s not possible for most people, but supporting local farmers wherever you live is a good thing.” “If I can grow it myself, I’m even happier,” she adds.
