The self-motivated and creative Jennifer Hyman is the CEO and co-founder of Rent the Runway, an online fashion solution that offers clothing and accessories through subscriptions or rentals from hundreds of designer brands for women and children. Hyman was raised in New York, studied at New Rochelle High School, earned a BA in Social Sciences from Harvard University, then graduated with an MBA from Harvard Business School where she met Jennifer Fleiss who founded Rent the Runway with her. Hyman came up with the idea for the online service after seeing her sister stress over the agonizing task of buying an outfit for a special occasion. Since its establishment in 2009, the company pioneered technology and logistics in the fashion industry has amassed over 11 million customers and almost 2,000 employees.
