Victoria Ransom, Founder And CEO Of Wildfire

Listed as one of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs, Victoria Ransom has been in the business as a consultant, investor, founder, and executive since her early 20s. She has successfully launched three companies, including the social marketing application, Wildfire Interactive Inc., which allows businesses to build, optimize, and measure their presence on popular social networking sites. Ransom was raised in an asparagus farm in New Zealand, studied at Whanganui Girls’ College, earned a scholarship to attend United World College in New Mexico, got a degree in Psychology and graduated summa cum laude from Macalester College in Minnesota, and received her MBA from Harvard Business School. After graduating from Macalester College, she founded the adventure travel company, Access Trips. Soon after, she established Wildfire, grew the company with tens of thousands of customers, 400 employees and eight offices globally, then sold it to Google for a reported $450 million. Ransom has received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2011, the “Champion of Change” Award from Barack Obama in 2013, and the World Class New Zealander Award in 2015.
