The lovely designer, Tory Burch, is the big boss lady of her own brand, Tory Burch LLC, a well-known high fashion label that creates haute couture, ready-to-wear-clothes, fashion accessories, and luxury goods. She was born in Pennsylvania, raised in a Valley Forge farmhouse with her three brothers, studied at the Agnes Irwin School then majored in art history at the University of Pennsylvania. Before she began her own fashion label, Burch worked for and learned from other top designers, including Zoran, Vera Wang, Loewe, and Polo Ralph Lauren. She launched her fashion label, initially called TRB by Tory Burch, in February 2004 with one store in Manhattan’s Nolita district, and her company now has 250 stores around the globe. Her brand is also available in thousands of department and specialty stores worldwide. The immensely successful fashion designer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist has won Fashion Group International’s Rising Star Award in 2005, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Sandra Taub Humanitarian Award in 2015, and Glamour’s Woman of the Year in 2019. Tory Burch is also frequently included in Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women in the World.
