The incredibly hot American entrepreneur with a sweet tooth, Dylan Lauren, owns the largest candy store in the world. The daughter of the well-known fashion legend and billionaire businessman, Ralph Lauren, graduated from Duke University in North Carolina where she majored in art history. Inspired by the 1971 musical fantasy film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory which she saw on her sixth birthday, she founded Dylan’s Candy Bar in 2001. Lauren’s goal was to merge art, fashion, and pop candy culture to create a unique candy store that’s stocked with 7,000 candies from around the globe. The flagship store in New York City has become a location for several television shows and movies filmed in the city, such as Hitch, Gossip Girl and Project Runway. It has also become a required stop for visiting tourists. Lauren, who was included in US Weekly’s Top 25 Most Stylish New Yorkers in 2007, also published her book “Dylan’s Candy Bar: Unwrap Your Sweet Life.” in 2010, launched the granting foundation Dylan’s Candy BarN in 2015, and started her role as judge in the reality TV series The Toy Box in 2017.
