Audrey Gelman, Founder Of The Wing

Another gorgeous go-getter is the American entrepreneur and political staffer, Audrey Gelman. In October 2016, she and Lauren Kassan founded The Wing in New York City, a co-working space collective and social club designed for women. Since its first location in the Flatiron District with 200 founding members, the club now has offices in New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. and has roughly 10,000 members. Though the club initially only accepted women and non-binary individuals, it now welcomes members regardless of gender identity. As of 2018, The Wing began offering scholarships to underrepresented individuals who are committed to advancing the position of women and girls in society. Before establishing The Wing, Gelman worked as a press aide for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign in 2008 and as a deputy communications director in Scott Stringer’s successful NYC Comptroller campaign in 2013.
