Claire Chambers, Founder And CEO Of Journelle

The remarkable Claire Chambers founded the lingerie company, Journelle, which carries pretty, well-crafted everyday basics and tasteful, sophisticated lingerie for special occasions. She came up with the idea for her multi-line and multi-brand enterprise when she grew tired of shopping for nice yet comfortable undergarments in New York. Her goal was to make women feel good in their underwear all the time. So, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, Chambers quit her full-time job, started the business at home then opened the flagship store in Union Square in December 2007. Under her leadership, Journelle expanded with another store in Soho in November 2010, one in the Upper East Side in 2011, and crossed to Illinois with a store in Chicago in 2015. Chambers always had the self-discipline and knack for business since she was a kid, from a dog walking job with her best friend to managing a hometown store during the summer. Though she has stepped away from her role as CEO to pursue other ventures, she continues to inspire others to chase after their dreams and claim success.
