Israel is by no means cheap or even reasonable. It is as expensive as Manhattan or London, especially in Tel Aviv. Most tourists forget this and are shocked when they get the bill. Note for example, that a meal can cost an average of $35  and a beer $10 in a not so swanky place. You can just imagine what it will cost in a popular venue. Just have enough cash, even if you have credit cards. You never know which places will accept your credit card. Don’t flaunt your cash as well. Be prudent and cautious.
