Don’t Depend On The I-4

The Interstate 4 or I-4 is a free highway and is considered one of the major highways in the city as it intersects with several major expressways, including those in Tampa, Brandon, Lakeland, Celebration, and Daytona Beach.  It’s a very busy highway and as such, is more prone to road repairs.  Orlando gets lots of visitors on a regular basis so expect the traffic that comes along with it.  Aside from the morning and evening commute, the I-4 has a couple more rush hour periods referred to as the check-out and check-in time, 11AM and 3PM respectively, where more travelers are on the road.  So, don’t solely rely on the I-4 and learn alternate routes around the city.
