Don’t Worry About Your Passport

If you’re a U.S. citizen, you don’t need to worry about bringing your passport. Just have a valid ID or two with you and you can enter and exit as you please as Puerto Rico is a United States territory. However, for non-U.S. citizens, you will need your passport, and if applicable, a valid U.S. visa issued by the U.S. Embassy in your country.
