Keep some bills and loose change with you at all times. Do not forget to keep cash handy when going around Rome as this will allow you to move around freely since some establishments still prefer to be paid in cash. Make sure to have your money converted before you get there because even though hotels and airports offer the service, their rates aren’t exactly the best.
