Rome can get extremely hot during summer, especially around July and August. The blistering heat can be quite punishing during these months so avoid these months if you can.
The perfect time to visit Italy’s beautiful capital is during the tail-end of spring between May and June. During this period, the climate is still pleasantly cool yet warm enough for lighter clothing. September and October are also good months to be in Rome, when the summer heat slowly gives way to autumn’s cooler climate.
Summer also tends to be crowded, another reason to avoid booking your holiday on that season.
