Costumed performers are familiar sights in tourist attractions around Rome. These “actors” loiter around popular spots, offering tourists photo-ops which they charge for, often at ridiculous prices. If you’re not ready to part with your money, it would be best to avoid them completely. Incidents of tourists being harassed by “actors” aren’t rare, so try to stay away from them if you can.
