Here’s Mom showing off her parenting skills in 1978. This baby’s afternoon nap quickly turned into happy hour as his mother lets him take a sip from her can of beer. At least she listened and took her child to the park to get some fresh air instead of leaving him hanging in a baby cage outside the apartment. Again, it’s hazardous for babies and young children to be consuming alcohol of any kind. But before we start shaming this mother for giving her baby a Bud, let’s first consider how unlikely it was for the baby to drink from the can unless he had a straw. He was most probably just teething on it. Still, that beer can isn’t exactly the safest teether. Beer cans are lined with epoxy which contains bisphenol A (BPA), a chemical associated with a range of health issues, including irregular brain development in kids. Also, let’s hope this young mom’s not drinking and breastfeeding.
